Mo Awesome's Dream Mountain Bike Build! (ARI Delano Peak w/ DVO)

Updated: Oct 22

Earlier this year I got the opportunity to build up my dream mountain bike for a trip up to British Columbia! I knew I was going to need something that would be an amazing climber for all of the big epics I had in mind, but also capable enough to tackle all of the tech BC had to throw at me! Here is my dream mountain bike build!

Frame : Ari Delano Peak Size XL

Rear Shock: DVO Topaz

The Delano Peak is a 142mm trail bike that pedals amazingly well but is still plenty capable on the descents! I knew this would be an awesome frame to build up custom! I went with the new DVO Diamond 36 and Topaz rear shock to make sure I had suspension for all of the roots and slabs while still having a very light but stiff wheelset with the Duke Racing Wheels Crazy Jack wheelsets!

Rear Shock: DVO Topaz. This has been an insane shock for me to test over the last year. A mix of the support of the Fox Float X with plushness of the Rockshock Super Deluxe, this really is a do everything shock!

Fork: The new DVO Diamond 36 was an awesome fork to put through the paces of BC tech! This has quickly become one of my favorite forks, with the perfect blend of stiffness from the chassis with plushness from the new damper! Can't beat that DVO green and now super easy to dial in with no OTT but instead a very user freindly air setup and stiff 36mm stanchions!

Duke Racing Wheels is a French brand and when they first showed me their Crazy Jack wheelset I knew I had to test some! Comming in at under 1350 grams with a high engaging hub, this wheelset has an amazing feel out on the trail. They are stiff while remaining compliant over tech and I threw so much abuse at them and they never let me down! The decals are customizable via their website!

BTW this is the brand new Feedback sports Rakk 2.0 rack! Get 15% off with discount code "mo&hannah15-24"

SRAM GX Transmission is still probably not my go to drivetrain however the cost to performance value is still there and I knew I would want something durable for all of the rocks to bash on while also being easily servicable (I knew SRAM would be in BC for Crankworks, who doesnt love a free tune at their even support booth). I still prefer SRAM AXS!

The best handlebars in the world, OneUp Carbon bars with a 35mm rise! Super comfy feel out on the trail with just the right amount of flex and vibration damping!

SRAM Code RSC providing a ton of stopping power with amazing modulation! I do think I will probably go SRAM Maven next build though!

The new Deity Super Villain pedals were amazing to test up in BC! So much traction and an amazing profile as well! I like these a lot better than the T-macs now, and I loved the T-Macs!

Specialized Power Mirror saddle, the best saddle on the market! It is a little pricey, but in my opinion very worth it if you transfer it from bike to bike!

And that is my bike! Love how this thing turned out, thanks for reading!
