The Yeti Cycles ASR is the XC bike I recommend most often to people! It is fast, light, and does amazing in tech! It also has one of the most comfortable carbon constructions, making it perfect for long days in the saddle! So when it was time to let my intrusive thoughts win and take my favorite XC forks, the Cannondale Lefty, off of its Cannondale home and move it to another platform the ASR was a no brainer!

The Cannondale Lefty Ocho is my favorite pieces of mountain bike technology! The combination of stiffness, precision, and plushness is something you have to expereince to belive! It also can be run on most XC bikes contrary to what people think. All you need is a lefty hub and the right headset bearing if you are running the carbon Lefty Ocho (the crown race is built into the fork so it sits in the bottom headset bearing).
And here it is in all of it's glory!

The Lefty on the ASR has been an amazing combo! The ASR has such a light on its feet feel to it and when you pair it with the precision of the Lefty, it is an insane combo! I also stuck with the Shimano XTR DI2 drivetrain as it is a bit quicker and perfect for XC!

Keeping with the trend of speed, I also added a Fox Transfer Neo dropper! It is super quick and also deletes a cable from the front of the bike. I kept the remote lockout for the Sid Luxe rear shock as I love the middle pedal mode for the ASR. So deleting a cable helped clean things up!

Any more upgrades in the works? Dream builds are never complete and I think the next upgrades will be some SRAM Motive brakes as I love the modulation there! I also would like to lighten up that rear wheel and increase the engagement. But one thing is for certain, the Yeti ASR is awesome and I can't reccomend it enough!
Stay tuned!
