Yeti Cycles MT, The Ultimate Trail Bike!

The Yeti MT is here and it looks as amazing as it rides! Following the succesful launch of their LT model (which has 160mm of rear travel and 170mm of travel up front), Yeti Cycles has launched the new MT! With 140mm of rear travel and 160mm of travel up front, the new MT features the same switch to SixFinity (see what I did there) suspension design that I have been loving on the LT as well as LTe!

While it lacks the chainstay adjustment of the LT, the new MT does feature a shock progression adjustment as well as the new cavity internal frame storage. Geo stays in the sweet spot while not straying to aggresive or conservative. Noticably, Yeti has gone with longer rear centers similar to the LT (although not as long). Having spent a lot of time on the LT, I am very excited for this!

For Yeti to stray away from Switch Infinity, they would have to belive strongly in SixFinity, and numbers don't lie! The ability to tune the shock on the new SixFinity platform allows for a playful feel while still soaking up big hits and remaining composed at speed. Pair this with the shock adjustment and you have a bike ready to ride in a wide variety of scenarios!

Build kits will be offered in both SRAM and Shimano, with builds weighing as light as 31.6 lbs stock. I do think it will be possible to lighten this up even further, stay tuned!

My personal time on Yeti's new SixFinity platform has been nothing short of incredible! While I have not spent much time on the MT yet, my first ride on it left me dreaming for days to get back on this bike! Phoenix summer has not been gentle though and I am currently putting the LT through the paces up in Whistler!
